Welcome Back!

    Welcome back to a new school year. I wanted to  inform you of some of our routines in order to help your child have a successful year.

-          We use agendas daily to keep track of upcoming assignments and events. I ask that parents please look at the agenda and initial it so I know you have seen it. I use this as a communication between home and school as well, so check it for notes and feel free to use it to send notes in as well. All assignment due dates are written on the homework board and students are to copy this into their agendas. I am trying to help them to become responsible for their own work and organization. Their agendas have not arrived yet, but we are hoping they will show up next week sometime.

-          When we have a test it will come home for parents to see. Please initial it and return it to school so I know you have seen it. I know a lot of stuff does not make it home and I find if you initial and return it, then I know you have seen it and it helps to keep you informed as to your child’s progress.

-          Band days for grade 6’s are day 1 and day 5. Students will need their instruments and music books for these days. They are also responsible for handing in a practise sheet for each month.

-          Spelling pre-tests will be given on Mondays and the tests will be on Friday. Spelling assignments will also be due on each Friday.

-     We will be updating this blog regularly so we hope you will visit often. We would also love for you to leave comments!
