Today we wore our pyjamas and cozied up with a good book and some hot chocolate. It was great to have some time to really get into our books. Many students are reading our Christmas present books and we are getting some great feedback about them. We can't wait to hear some book talks on these new books!

Fun Day in Austin
Today we went to Austin for a fun day. We got to choose between curling, board games, reading, and indoor curling. We have a lot of great curlers in our grade 5&6 classes! We had homemade pizza from the bakery for lunch then we got to choose our stations again. We also went to the school and played at the playground in the afternoon. Overall, it was a fantastic day! Sorry, the curling pictures didn't turn out.

Chemical Testing
We were testing household chemicals in science class and I did
Sensodyne toothpaste. We had to show the effectiveness of the product so I rubbed the toothpaste on one egg and left another untreated. We put them in cups of coffee and waited 8-10 hours when I took them out there was a drastic difference. The toothpaste egg was still really white but the untreated egg looked like one of those farm eggs that are brown.
