Thank you to everyone who came out to our student led conferences on Wed night and Fri morning. We had 110% turnout! We had everyone come plus a couple of kids came and presented on both days! Thank you parents for fitting time in your busy schedules. The students did an excellent job of presenting and talking about their learning and have set some excellent second term goals. Thank you to all of you in @56Zander (including Mrs. Zander!) for devoting so much energy and enthusiasm into sharing your learning with us, the parents. Student-led conferences really showcase what students are learning and experiencing in school. It is a different way than the tattle-tell sessions that we parents grew up with; where the teacher sat down with the parent and outlined everything that was wrong with us. At least that was my experience; apparently I talked too much! My Mom and Dad already knew that though and didn't need to hear it 3x a year for 13 years! I know that about my own child too (where do you think he got it from?!!!)I want to know what staff is doing to help him set goals and grow as a learner so that he will be successful now and in the future. 56Zander student-led conferences showed me that! Can't wait until February!!!!!!
