Gingerbread Houses

Don't forget to bring in your supplies this week to build your Gingerbread Houses. We will be constructing and decorating our houses on Thursday and Friday so please make sure you have everything you need for those days. 

Skating Dates

We will be skating on the following dates. Please let me know if you are available to help tie skates or want to skate with us! All students need to bring skates and a helmet. If your child requires any equipment please let me know and we can find some school equipment for them to wear.

Artists in the School

This week we had Gayle Sinclair in to teach us how to paint a canvas with watercolour paints. Here are some of the finished paintings.

Christmas Craft

Heartland Recreation is hosting a Christmas Craft afternoon for Grade 5 and 6 students on November 16th from 3:30-5:00 at the Normac Curling Club.
The cost is $20 and every student goes home with a wooden HO HO HO! Christmas sign.

Social Justice

Wednesday October 26 is our next Bag up challenge date.
Please send in your plastic bags. If you could count them and put the number on the outside bag that would help us greatly.


We are also collecting for Koats for Kids. You can send in any winter outerwear items including ski pants, hats, mitts, scarves etc.


Non perishable foods will still be collected until October 31.


Students are also bringing in items for the Christmas shoe boxes.

Upcoming Week

Boston Pizza orders are due Tuesday October 11.

The first collection date for the bag up challenge is Wednesday October 12. You can send in any extra plastic grocery bags you have lying around! Please count them and mark the bag clearly. The next collection date will October 26.

There is a free salad day for all students on Wednesday October 12.

Students need to bring in $3 for a canvas. They will be painting this canvas when our artist in the school comes on October 25. Money is due Thursday October 13.

Grade 6 immunizations will be on Thursday October 13. If you haven't returned your form yet please do so before Thursday.
